The Medicine Hat Fish and Game Association invites hunters, outdoors enthusiasts, and the community to attend the Annual Horn Scoring Day on January 24, 2026, at the Seven Persons Community Hall. This popular winter event brings people together to celebrate big game, responsible hunting, and conservation in our region.
From 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, attendees can enjoy a full day of activities, displays, and local vendors. Bring your antlers, horns, or skulls for official measuring between 10:00 am and 1:30 pm, with prizes awarded to top entries. Whether you are submitting a harvest or simply stopping by to look, there is plenty to see and do throughout the day.
Admission is $5 for adults, $2 for youth ages 13 to 17, and free for children 12 and under. Inside the hall you will find local area vendors, a silent auction, door prizes, 50 50 draws, food items, and liquor sales. Tickets will also be available for the MHFGA Beef Raffle.
This year’s theme is People’s Choice Awards. MHFGA members are encouraged to bring mounts from years past to be included in the big game head and horn displays. Attendees will vote for their favorite mounts, with prizes awarded as follows.
First prize $100
Second prize $75
Third prize $50
The event is also your chance to register for the 2026 Coyote Incentive Program. Full details will be available on the day of the event and shared on the MHFGA website and Facebook page.
Silent Auction Donations and Conservation Support
The Medicine Hat Fish and Game Association is currently seeking donations for the silent auction. Proceeds from the auction directly support local conservation initiatives, habitat improvement projects, wildlife education, and responsible hunting programs in our area. Donations from individuals and businesses play a key role in allowing MHFGA to continue protecting and enhancing fish and wildlife resources for future generations. Those interested in contributing are encouraged to connect with MHFGA ahead of the event or bring items on the day.
Mark your calendar and join us for a great day of community, conservation, and celebration of Alberta’s hunting heritage.
